The State Career Development Conference

provides a venue for DECA’s Competitive

Events Program as well as additional career

and leadership development programs. The

Michigan Association hosts this conference

to determine which members earn the right

to represent Michigan at the ICDC.

The SCDC will be located at the 

Crowne Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids, MI.

Guest speaker - Brad Killmeyer 

Brad Killmeyer is a Professional Speaker, Author of Write to Dream and Owner of Formulate Your Future.  His Mission is to Help Students Create the Life They Want!  
He appeals to a full range of student backgrounds, academic levels, and interests. Brad has been a keynote speaker at high schools and colleges across the country. Students connect with his humor, positive attitude and relatability. 

State Community Service Project - Aaron's Gifts from Home

The mission of Aaron's Gifts From Home is to provide food, snacks, personal hygiene items and entertainment, for example books, toys, Dvd's, Cd's as well as other items, which include batteries,socks,scarfs,hats,blankets, pillows, and hand warmers to any and all currently deployed military personnel on a year round basis. Simply, to improve the morale of American Troops serving abroad by sending care packages to deployed troops. We send to Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, Bahrain, Korea, Japan, Cuba, Africa and ships at sea, or wherever they are on deployment.

listed above or cash donations to cover the cost

of postage.  Don't forget school with the most

points get priority seating for the awards

banquet for their chapter.

Social Event - Mocktails and Networking

Join us Saturday afternoon to network with

other members, alumni, judges and our guest speaker.  The event starts at 4:30 p.m. and is sponsored by Experience Grand Rapids.

Event Competition - 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Mocktail Reception - 4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Dinner - on your own

Sunday, Feb. 4

Voting - 9:45 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

Brunch - 10:00 a.m.
